With California facing one of the most severe droughts on record, Governor Brown declared a drought State of Emergency in January and directed state officials to take all necessary actions to prepare for water shortages. The state has continued to lead the way to make sure California is able to cope with an unprecedented drought. It's estimated that a three-bedroom house in California uses 174,000 gallons of water a year. And according to the California Home Building Foundation, 57 percent of that amount is used for landscaping. Because of the need to save water many cities have decided to offer rebates for switching from high use water landscape to low use water landscape. Down below we have a guide for each city.
